First Look: Shah Rukh Khan's 'My Name Is Khan'
'My Name Is Khan' is about a Muslim (Shah Rukh Khan) who suffers from the Asperger syndrome, a form of autism that impacts social interaction abilities. He is arrested as a suspected terrorist in post-9/11 Los Angeles after authorities mistake his disability for suspicious behaviour.
The movie stars Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Soniya Jehan, Jimmy Shergill, Zarina Wahab, Parvin Dabbas, Arif Zakari, Navneet Nishan, Sheetal Menon and Tanay Chheda.

Well, Kajol has already got a birthday present from her loving hubby Ajay Devgan, who gifted her a white Audi Q7, days before August 5. Kajol, who’s a car freak, used to drive around in a Mercedes which was also gifted to her by Ajay when their daughter Nysa was born. It’s been years since the actress has been wheeling around in Merc and a new car was due.
Kajol, who has cut down on Bollywood assignments drastically ever since she became mom, has till recently been shooting for good friend Karan Johar’s filmMy Name Is Khan in the US. It’s been eight years since she was last paired with SRK in Johar’s film Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.

Kareena Kapoor taking over Kajol Devgan
No doubt about it…. Kareena Kapoor’s career is on a never before ascent…. What more proof does it require than that she has been the choice for Ajay Devgan’s to be announced next directorial venture. What makes it more conspicuous is the fact that the actor-turned-director has chose Kareena over her talented wife Kajol Devgan.
The chemistry between Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor had already set the cash registers ringing in ‘Omkara’. They will also be seen in Ashtavinayak’s ‘Golmaal Returns’ which is set for release later this year.
If this was not enough, Kareena Kapoor is also being considered by Karan Johar for his next venture ‘My Name Is Khan’ starring SRK, but that will be only when Kajol turns down the offer.
What makes Kajol happy
I am really happy to see Kajol back. I loved her every minute in the films and was indeed quite sad like a true fan would. Now she is back with Shahrukh Khan in My Name is Khan and the upcoming flick of Karan Johar – an adaptation of Stepmom. She will be working with Kareena Kapoor and Arjun RAmpal.

It is a moment of pride for Karan Johar when his cinematographer Ravi Chandran tells him - 'I don't think you've ever shot something like this'. Shahrukh, as we know plays a completely different human being in the film. According to Karan Johar – “This time I'm being creative in a different ways. And Shah Rukh plays a completely different human being ... I've never directed that person before. It took a few days for all of us to get into the groove. How this exploration of a new territory will turn out, no one knows.” Moreover, it’s Shahrukh and Kajol coming together on screen after a long time.
Wow, that’s great. Although he has some problems to face like a change in the cast from Aamir Bashir to Jimmy Shergill, yet he is going smooth and steady. I am sure this film would be another Fly like New York, what say?

Karan Protest Against Racism Attacks
As we know that Indian students are facing racism attacks in Australia, producer-director Karan Johar expressed in disapproval in his own way. Karan’s untitled production was supposed to shoot in Australia, but now he is planning to do it in US to condemn the racial attacks. That is expected from him as his films are always NRI oriented and he himself had studied abroad.
A source revealed, “Initially, Australia was finalised for the shoot. Now the shooting schedule has been shifted to the US. Karan did not want to shoot in a country where the Indian students are facing racism. Since he is in the US now, where he is shooting for My Name Is Khan, he thought that the other film could be easily shifted here.”
The film is being directed by Siddharth Malhotra which stars actors like Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead. It is a remake of Hollywood filmStepmom.
But when asked to the director, he gave a diplomatic answer. “Nothing has been confirmed as of now. We are still exploring all the locations. Whichever location suits the film better will be finalised. At the end of the day, it’s the producers call. Everything will be finalised by mid-July,” said the director.
Shooting for the film will start in October.

Just by saying, "its not a movie to be directed by a person like me", karan Johar has created enough hype about My Name is Khan. He thinks its too delicate a subject to be handled by him. I'm sure he'd do fantastic and when SRK and Kajol are the lead actors, how can you go wrong? from San Francisco where they are shooting at present.
