SALMAN Avoids Aish On The Shoot
On Sunday, Salman Khan proved that he is Bollywood's coolest dude. A fact further highlighted by the fact that the situation he was in was enough to give the heebie-jeebies to the most seasoned playboys.On one side, there was his former girlfriend Aishwarya Rai, whom he had such a torrid affair with that people can't stop talking about it even today. And on the other side there was Ranbir Kapoor, who has been on more than one occasion linked with Salman's longtime girlfriend, Katrina Kaif. To everyone's surprise, Salman was not the least bit perturbed.
The three actors were shooting for their respective films at Mehboob Studios all day on Sunday. While Salman was there for Veer, Aishwarya was shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish and Ranbir was shooting for Yash Raj Films' Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year.
Suddenly, the unit of Veer heard that Aishwarya was shooting a stone's throw away. They, of course, were waiting with bated breath for Salman to lose his cool. However, preferring to stick to his chilled out demeanour, Salman was sprawled on comfy chairs outside his vanity van and was seen chatting with everyone in between shots. He refused to be disconcerted by the fact that Ms Rai, oops! Mrs Abhishek Bachchan, was around.
Surprisingly, Salman stayed away from the sets of Guzaarish even though Aishwarya was shooting with Bhansali, with whom Salman shares an excellent rapport.
While Salman gave a miss to Aishwarya, he showered all his attention on Ranbir. Salman and Ranbir decided to catch up by chatting for almost an hour while taking a break from their respective shoots. If sources are to be believed, the two boys also had lunch together. Salman continued to shoot till 1am for Veer.
Well, the show must go on.

Salman Khan's London-based special fan Arvind Jain has lost his battle with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The 12-year-old, who had been battling with the ailment since birth, passed away on Sunday.
Final days
On a visit to Mumbai last year, the youngster had expressed a desire to meet his screen idol 'Salman. It was on his wishlist. He was well aware that time was ticking for him. Even though Arvind landed up at the actor's Bandra home unannounced, Salman had warmly welcomed him as reported ('A dream come true'; Hitlist, January 7, 2008).

It is learnt that for the past month Arvind was in hospital as his condition had deteriorated leading to several complications. Though extremely weak, he remained cheerful. He also had to have his foodpipe removed. Last week, his health took a turn for the worse and his heart stopped working.
Dream come true
"I could not believe it when Salman greeted me. It was a dream come true. I did not know what to tell him but he made us extremely comfortable," a bashful Arvind had said after meeting his hero. He was accompanied by his parents Mridula and Ashok Jain and elder sister Sushma. As he was confined to the wheelchair, Hindi films was a big source of comfort for him. And Salman Khan was his favourite actor.

When he came face-to-face with the star, he was initially tongue-tied. But gradually and thanks to Salman being so chilled out, he could actually start a conversation with his idol. The topic of conversation was Salman's films and his paintings. The star had told Arvind he could ask him everything he wanted to know about him. Besides Salman and Katrina Kaif, Salman's sisters Alvira and Arpita, his mother Salma as well as Malaika Arora Khan were present.
Says New Delhi-based family friend Lalit Bisht, "Arvind and his family were planning to come down to India this year. Arvind had fond memories of his trip last year."
Arvind, who was confined to a wheelchair, could not stand or sit without support and spent all his life in and out of hospitals. Yet, Arvind's family wanted him to live life to the fullest.

Mumbai: It seems that there is nothing else that Katrina could have done to annoy possessive beau Salman more! Believe it or not but the actress has reportedly gone ahead to the extent of signing a film by Yash Raj banner with none other than Sallu’s archrival Shah Rukh Khan.
According to the latest buzz, YRF has roped in Kat and SRK for their film to be directed either by Aditya Chopra or Kabir Khan.
According to our source, “Katrina definitely has it going for her. SRK, on the other hand, has remained in the safe zone — as far as heroines are concerned — for a long time. Be it Rani Mukerji or Preity Zinta, he has stuck to his regulars and has worked with them repeatedly. He needs to be a tad more adventurous about his co-stars, and that’s where Katrina comes into the picture.”
The film, which will hit the floors early next year, has been in the pipeline for a long time. What was Katrina thinking when she got herself tied up with the deadly Yash Raj-Shah Rukh combo? Guess that’s really going to bother Salman!
I DON'T WANT TO BE A STAR: SALMAN
Many feel that Salman Khan has become more patient over the years.
So, has he changed? “See everyone has lots of shades to their character. You aren’t in the best of moods all the time. When we are on the sets there are times when we get hugely pakaoed. When you are already stressed and if some one troubles you, then you can be a bit rude to them.
But we realise it the next moment and are extra sweet to them. As for the media, why I deal with them in such a manner... that’s because I don’t want to be a star,” he shrugs. Well we guess it’s difficult for anyone to look at a superstar as just another normal guy. But looks like Salman has definitely taken the chill pill.

Who said Salman Khan hasn’t a friend in
Step up and be prepared to get knocked down by Ajay Devgan! The two actors are friends. Though they’ve done only one film together — Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam in 1999, with the lovely Aishwarya Rai torn between both men’s love on screen.
That was ten years ago... my, how time flies! Now they are working together again in Vipul Shah’s London Dreams. But their friendship has endured the passage of time. This is not a Bollywood kind of yeh dosti, hum nahin todenge friendship, with the actors hanging together and being in and out of each other’s homes.
They have no virtual presence in one another’s life, but rather an quiet influence from which each actor derives a calming strength. And this goes back a long time, because before them, their fathers Salim Khan and Veeru Devgan — old Bollywood’s famous writer and fighter, were friends.
“We are the second generation, Ajay’s debut film Phool Aur Kaante came out more or less the same time as I did Maine Pyar Kiya,” revealed Salman.
“It’s not that were are in touch,” added Ajay, “but when we meet, we are comfortable in each other’s company.”
Good enough, given that Bollywood throws up some strange bedfellows, and once the lights have been switched off, pack-up announced, and makeup wiped off... how the stars claw and snipe one another off the sets is the kind of stuff that gossip magazines are notoriously fond of writing.
“I know there are 10,000 things being said of Salman, but I’ve not seen that side of him,” argued Ajay. “He’s a great guy, he’s honest with people who he believes are genuine, and never has issues with those that are straight.”
Salman returned the compliment, “Ajay’s the most chilled out guy I know, a super friend, and strangely our film London Dreams is about the journey of two friends between whom there is no jealousy, no complexities.” They are not surprised that Bollywood hasn’t pitched them together after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’s success. “Actors don’t plan such things,” explained Ajay, “it’s not like I must do a film with Salman, we are hearing scripts all the time, this one seemed like the right one — so we went ahead.”
Their strong, silent and cherished dosti apart, the two actors have huge respect for each other’s work. “There’s no back-biting, no stealing of lines, no oneupmanship with Ajay, he concentrates on himself and does not interfere with his co-star,” said Salman, “it’s nice working with him, he’s not a chindi-chor, he won’t influence directors or grab your space.”
Surprisingly, this is more or less Ajay’s opinion on the famously difficult Salman, contrary to Bollywood’s experience of the actor being terribly cantankerous to work with. “There’s no stress, no tension, he’s funny on the sets,” insisted Ajay. There was just one question left: why didn’t they take their friendship to the next level?
“It’s because I hardly socialise,” replied Ajay. And Salman said, “Arre he’s a married man, he’s got a wife and child, and his own life... I’ve lots of time to reach that stage!”

This is the first ever candid admission of love by the actress who’s kept mum about her personal life since she stepped in Bollywood about six years ago.
Katrina also did not shy away from discussing the question of marriage.
She revealed that she wants to focus on her blooming career for a couple of years before settling down and she admitted that Salman is eager to tie the knot.
Kat also shot down the rumours of a possible romance between Salman and German model Claudia Ciesla. She said Salman’s association with the model was only professional. She also scoffed the rumours linking her with Ranbir Kapoor, her co-star of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rajniti.

SALMAN LEAVES FARAH RED-FACED!
Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan says that Bollywood star Salman Khan had left her red-faced when he took her along for the auditions of his super hit 1989 film "Maine Pyar Kiya". Farah recalled the incident when she came on the reality show "Dus Ka Dum 2", which is being hosted by Salman. "He (Salman) took me along so that I could show him a few steps to do before director Sooraj Barjatya. But when Salman did the steps, it was so appalling that I simply picked up by footwear, hailed a cab and took off home," said Farah on the show. Salman, who started blushing after his secret was revealed, agreed that he did have two left feet then and later even demonstrated the step he was required to perform at the auditions, said a source from the sets of the show.

We all know how Salman kept Aditya Chopra hanging when he was asked to sign Chak De India under the YRF banner but after 21 days Shahrukh Khan signed the movie. That enraged Salman and he vowed never towork under the YRF Banner. YRF signed films with almost all the Khan except for Salman. Only recently Rani Mukherjee has enabled Salman to sign a movie with Aditya Chopra.
Although sources have to say Salman never signed a film but it would be exciting if YRF did a movie with Salman.
