Shilpa Shetty invites Jermaine Jackson for dinner
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty "caught up on good old times" with her former "Celebrity Big Brother" housemate Jermaine Jackson, late pop legend Michael Jackson's brother, at her house here.
"I met Jermaine Jackson and his wife Halima after nearly three years...caught up on old times, got nostalgic over our experiences in the 'Big Brother' house. It had been so long but we picked up from where we left, one thing being constant - our friendship, so was happy on that front," Shilpa, who won "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007, posted on her blog www.shilpashettylive.com/blog.
Jermaine landed in India Friday for 10 days to collaborate with singer Adnan Sami on an album being produced by T-Series. During his stay here, he will also shoot for a concept video for the same song.
Shilpa says their meeting Sunday night was "a strange co-incidence" as her younger sister Shamita was heading for "Bigg Boss", the Indian version of "Celebrity Big Brother".
Shilpa is apprehensive about how Shamita will fair in "Bigg Boss".
"I scurried to spend the last two days before she left, tried to dissuade her considering she'll be away for three months if she lasts. (I) can't describe how difficult our last goodbye was. Now I know what she went through when I left three years ago to be a part of 'Big Brother'. We are very close so it was heartbreaking. But I'll get to see her everyday if that's any consolation."
Shilpa Shetty's office moves into a larger space
Shilpa has just moved her production house S2 into a bigger office. Initially, her banner was operating out of a 2BHK space on Andheri Link Road but now she has moved her office premises to a bungalow.
Shetty's new office has been done up by interior designer Pritesh, in consultation with the actress and her mom, Sunanda.

S2's new office is close to the MHADA Telephone Exchange in the Four Bungalows area of Andheri. It's a spacious two-storeyed bungalow, There are a lot of Ganesha figurines handpicked by the mother-daughter jodi. There is also a lot of feng shui stuff like bamboo shoots and fountains.
Shilpa plans to launch her film next year, and is working on some projects abroad. A source close to the actress says, "The Shilpa Shetty Foundation is expanding and with her film production, Shilpa needed lots of space. The new office has been done up in a corporate style sleek and elegant in steel, chrome and pastel shades." Shilpa wants to sell off her old office property on Andheri Link Road.

Last night, Shilpa left for New York. She has been invited to be the Grand Marshall for August 15 for the Independence Day parade. Raj Kapoor was the first film personality to attend the India Parade Day in New York. She says, "It's an honor to be the Grand Marshall. It's a grand event and is attended by 60,000 Indians. I will also be attending dinners with several VIPs and politicians on August 16 and 17."
This will be one of those few events that beau Raj Kundra won't be accompanying Ms Shetty. She adds, "He's busy with work in London and I shall join him on my way back."
Shilpa's outfits (see designs alongside) for the events have been designed by Tarun Tahiliani. While one is a long Mughal kurta with churidar sleeves and gillet embroidered with jewel motifs the other is a French lace sari encrusted with a dazzling array of crystalised Swarovski diamonds. The blouse is fluted with delicate spray of jewel flowers.

She’s been accused of shooting inside the temple premises with her shoes on. Now, an image of her being kissed on the cheek by the temple priest has appeared on the net.
The elderly priest was very polite towards Shilpa when she sought his blessings. Not only did he bless her but planted a fatherly kiss on her cheek. There was nothing vulgar about the gesture.

Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty has slammed the police complaint filed against her for misbehaving inside a temple as "uncalled for tamasha".
The star who shot for a reality show at the Shakhi Gopal Temple in Orissa, was later named in an FIR lodged by the temple authorities who alleged that Shetty and her team had broken the protocol of the Hindu temple.
"It is preposterous. The fact of the matter is that we didn’t even shoot in the temple...I still don't know why the FIR is in my name because I was there hired as an actor to perform for the channel. The production wasn't mine...They have to stop making scapegoats of celebrities," wrote the Actor in her blog.
The actress added that she grew up in a spiritual family and knows how to conduct herself in religious places.
"Being born into a spiritual family I know how to conduct myself, I've spent a good part of my life visiting temples all over, so there was a report that said I walked into the temple with slippers on! Please stop this uncalled for tamasha," wrote Shilpa.

Shilpa Shetty was supposed to perform with the American R&B star Akon at the IPL finals on Sunday night. But she decided to opt out at the last minute.
When contacted Shilpa explained, "I was just not prepared. It was an international platform, not some village nautanki. I had to be fully ready. And I just didn't get time to rehearse. So I regretfully had to say no. But I'd rather not give anything less than my best when I'm representing my country."
Shilpa says she was happy to be just a spectator at the finals. "So what if my team wasn't playing. I think I'm sporting enough to enjoy the game as just a part of the audience."

Shilpa Shetty’s debut production would be an action comedy
This is the latest in the chain of news to Shilpa Shetty turning producer with S2 Global Productions. Her debut production would be an action comedy to be directed by Manish Jha. Shilpa had searched for the script for as long as six months to giver her final nod.
The script is an original one, without any influence from Hollywood script and has girls in central action roles. Shilpa is playing one of the lead roles and the grapevine has it that Bipasha Basu has also been finalized for a parallel role.
Shilpa has reportedly roped in Hollywood stunt director Tom Delmar to choreograph the action scenes and train the actors. The movie will be co-produced by UTV Motion Pictures.

I love Shilpa Shetty’s zest for life. I saw her recently on the Dus Ka Dum show and she was as chirpy and bubbly as a sixteen year old. I loved her dress sense and her make up, her hair et all and I guess she never has a “bad hair day”. Anyway with her verve and zest for life she made the guys dance also. Again when she visited her London home this time she visited Disneyloand and had one whale of tie with her family.
“Shilpa, along with her family, visited Disneyland recently. She was really excited about enjoying the various rides and had a wonderful time there. She loves roller coasters and was thrilled like a child to be on them.”

I love green but not many can carry off this shade of emerald green color that Shamita has chosen to wear. The color is good for a summer’s evening wear and Shamita carries it off with an élan which is praiseworthy. Do you think Shamita looks good in green? I feel she looks great with her hair color matching the green dress, and the black nail paint and nude lips… yes, she looks Fab.

Shilpa Shetty is one helluva lucky girl. On her 34th birthday recently, her beau Raj Kundra and sister Shamita Shetty arranged for a surprised birthday party that totally made her day. Apparently they had been planning for the party for a month. Shilpa did not know that Shameeta would be present on her birthday so when she saw her in London, she squealed in joy. Her favorite band was asked to play and the party was hosted at her favorite hotel in London. Shilpa was also gifted a diamond necklace by her family. Now that’s what you call a happy birthday!

well, all of us, who are bollywood fans, do know how hyped Shilpa Akshay affair was. While the affair had also gotten Shilpa involved in a big cat fight with Raveena Tandon (one of the Ex girlfriend of Akki), the lasy still wants to work with the man.
