Another Bollywood couple parted their ways as Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu called it’s off to each other. The actors come close to each other on the sets of Dhoondte Reh Jaoge, in which they were casted opposite each other. But now even if they broke up, they don’t have any hard feeling for each other and still friends.

Few months ago there was news that Kunal headed to Goa to be with Soha when he learnt that Siddharth her co-star from Rang De Basanti is spending good time with her over there. May be the rift between them started since then. One source revealed, “They parted in a very dignified manner. There is no animosity on either side. They are still friends.”

But when it asked to both of them, instead of confirming their split they don’t even accepted that they were involved romantically before.

“That’s because we are not working on any film together,” said Kunal.

However Soha said, “Since we actresses seem to have been created more to romance our co-stars and less to act in films, it is only natural and fitting that during Dhoondte Reh Jaoge and 99, Kunal and I were ‘paired up’ by the media, and now that we are no longer working together, we have ‘broken up’. For my future boyfriends, please refer to my list of anticipated releases.”

As we know that Indian students are facing racism attacks in Australia, producer-director Karan Johar expressed in disapproval in his own way. Karan’s untitled production was supposed to shoot in Australia, but now he is planning to do it in US to condemn the racial attacks. That is expected from him as his films are always NRI oriented and he himself had studied abroad.

A source revealed, “Initially, Australia was finalised for the shoot. Now the shooting schedule has been shifted to the US. Karan did not want to shoot in a country where the Indian students are facing racism. Since he is in the US now, where he is shooting for My Name Is Khan, he thought that the other film could be easily shifted here.”

The film is being directed by Siddharth Malhotra which stars actors like Kajol, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead. It is a remake of Hollywood filmStepmom.

But when asked to the director, he gave a diplomatic answer. “Nothing has been confirmed as of now. We are still exploring all the locations. Whichever location suits the film better will be finalised. At the end of the day, it’s the producers call. Everything will be finalised by mid-July,” said the director.

Shooting for the film will start in October.

The 54-year-old Greek musician seems like become a fan of our own Bollywood hottie Mallika Sherawat as he dedicates his new song Changes to the actress at the concert Yanni Voices in Los Angeles. This is for the first time that Yanni has dedicated his composition to anyone. It was a crowd of 7,000 music enthusiasts where Yanni announced, “This song is for Mallika Sherawat. One of a kind.”

You must be wondering where the duo met. Well Mallika is in LA for post-production of her forthcoming film Hisss. However they first encountered on the microblogging website. She said, “…then he asked me, ‘May I, Your Majesty?’ and proceeded to kiss my hand.”

According to the sources the mucisian had invited Mallika to attend his LA concert, to which she put condition that only if he dedicate a song to her. The video screen was showing images of Yanni’s performance in India at Taj Mahal in March 1997 when he was singing for the actress.

However Mallika couldn’t stop talking about it as she writes on her Twitter page “It was awesome! …I so wish my brother Vikram was there,” wrote Mallika.

After the multiplex strike, most of the audience was looking forward to the Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakht Ishq. Much hype about the film is created with its promos. However there is one more thing that audience could get attracted is that it has ten kissing scenes between the lead pair of the film. Most interesting part is that both the actors agreed to do it as it’s not common in Bollywood. Both the actors have great body and together they look hot on screen. However their ten lip locks will more steam up the film.

When asked to producer of the film, Sajid Nadiadwala, he said, “Why do you want me to tell the whole world if there are so many kisses in the film? Let the audience watch the film and they will know about it.”

The film is releasing on July 3.

We can say that actress Lara Dutta is thinking seriously about comedy as she gets third comedy film in row. Previously Lara done comedy films like Partnerand Bhagam Bhag, and so the actress is proud to be comedy actor. Lara will soon create laughs with her forthcoming films like Houseful and Do Knot Disturb.

Talking about Houseful, Lara said, “Houseful will be my third comic role in a row. And I’m not worried. It’s a large cast (Deepika Padukone and Jiah Khan). But I have the best part among the girls.”

She feels comedy is tougher that serious roles. “I think doing comedy is far tougher than serious roles. I don’t have to break my bangles and rub the sindoor off my hair to prove a good performance. Though I still have to get that one performance-oriented role which would take me to another level. Every morning I wake up and say, I know it’s out there somewhere,” she said.

David Dhavan is directing Do Knot Disturb, in which Lara playing a role opposite Govinda. Lara and Govinda worked together previously in Bhagam Bhag. “David and Govinda share an outstanding comic chemistry. If I’ve been able to match steps with them then that’s quite something for me. Govinda and I share a lot more scenes together here than in Bhagam Bhag,” added the actress.

The interesting thing about Do Knot Disturb is that for the first time Lara and Sushmita Sen, the two former Miss Universes came together, to which Lara see as USP.

There were reports that the actress is taking break after her recent box office flop Billu Barber. However she has something else to say “I had a number of releases, but then the strike happened and few of them got held up. Ravi Chopra’s Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai ran into litigation and David Dhawan’s Do Knot Disturb also got held up. There’s a stay order on Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai till June. I can’t comment on the matter since it’s subjudice. Ravi Chopra is a man who knows what he’s doing,” said Lara.

Previously we posted that producer Karan Johar approached actor Hrithik Roshan to play the role of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan in the remake of 90’s Amitabh Bachchan starrer Agneepath. But, Hrithik refused to do it and finally the role went to abhisek bachchan and so Abhishek is excited to put into the shoes of his dad. Many times Abhishek said in his interviews that Agneepath is one of his favourite films, so he is naturally overjoyed to do the film.

A source revealed, “Abhishek has said in many of his interviews thatAgneepath is his favourite film. Naturally, he was overjoyed when Karan asked him to play the role which his father has originally played. It has always been Abhishek’s dream to do once what his father has done in his career, and he sees Agneepath as the perfect opportunity.”

However Hrithik turned down the offer due to his busy schedule. Hrithik soon will get busy with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish, so he said to Karan to go ahead with some other actor.

The question is obvious when the film is being promoted on the names of Hrithik Roshan and international star Barbara Mori. It seems makers of Kites have completely forgotten Kangana Ranaut.

It is believed that Kangana’s not happy with the promos of the film as she has not been given much footage. Being a Mexican actress Barbara has received a great exposure in Bollywood because of her sizzling chemistry with Hrithik.

The Kangana, who worked hard on herself to play her character and also learnt salsa for her role in Kites has been completely sidelined in the promos. We hear that the makers of Kites want Barbara to promote the film in India before the release. Thus the actress will be back in India before the release. We wonder if our desi girl Kangana gets lucky too.

Rumours going round the floor that actrees Lara Dutta, who recently broke up with Dino Morea is seeing married tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi. Lara and Dino were seeing each other for a year, but they called it off three months ago. Nobody knows the reason of their split, but Dino was aware that there is someone else in Lara’s life and so accepted that his relationship with Lara is over. However Lara didn’t wasted time and found new love in Bhupathi. Although Bhupathi is a married man, his relationship with wife Shwetha Jaishankar is supposed to be on the rocks.

A source revealed, “Lara and Dino, who were dating for a year, called off their relationship almost three months ago. That’s when Lara met Mahesh through a common friend and the two instantly liked each other and started dating. Mahesh’s marriage to Shwetha Jaishankar has been on the rocks for quite sometime now. The tennis star and Lara have been going strong ever since they met. Lara and Mahesh are making sure not to make any public appearances together as their relationship is hush hush right now.”

However when asked to both of them, they denied it. “I am a married man and I am not dating anyone,” said Bhupathi. However, Lara replied to text message as, “Have you guys lost it?”

Before Dino, Lara was dating for longtime to Kelly Dorji. However, Kelly recently claimed that his former best friend Dino had backstabbed him by lying about his affair with Lara.

Director-choreographer Farah Khan flew to San Francisco to offer her actor friend Shah Rukh Khan the first half of script of her forthcoming film namedHappy New Year. Shah Rukh indeed was also waiting for her for the script on which she has worked for a year. By the time Farah also met Karan Johar. Well the three friends must have good time there, but what about her triplets - Czar, Diva and Anya?

“That won’t be a problem. Shirish (Farah’s husband) is very co-operative. Moreover, I am not going for too long. I will be back in 5-6 days,” answered Farah.

After her come back she will work on second half of the film. However she is planning to start shooting by the end of year.

This gorgeous Khan boy is making the right moves. In fact, we’d say that he’s a few steps ahead of his Mamu. One year into his career and he can already boast of a great line-up of movies, and of course, a huge fan following (read: female). Now Imran Khan has clinched a real biggie, the one big break that almost every actor in B-town waits for — the Dharma camp.

Yes, apparently Imran will be seen in Karan Johar’s next, which is being directed by Puneet Malhotra (Manish Malhotra’s nephew). This newbie director had assisted Karan on K3G and KANK, and now KJo has given him the green signal to head his own venture. And guess who IK’s co-star is for this one, the lovely Sonam Kapoor. Sweet pair, no? And last but not the least… you will never in your wildest imagination guess the title of this movie. It’s tentatively called, I Hate Love Stories. Now are we supposed to believe that the KJo we know hates loves stories? No way! He’s gotta be kidding us.

Denise Richards, move over. Kareena Kapoor is in a better position to rate Akshay Kumar when he puckers up. There are reports that the film Kambakkht Ishq has as many as ten lip locks between Kareena and Akshay. The pair will steam up the screen as they kiss repeatedly in the film.

Our source said, “While everyone is aware that there is a kissing scene between Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor, no one knows that they have lip locked as many as ten times. The news has been very hush hush as both the lead actors were of the opinion that it should not be leaked out. However, now that the film is releasing and there are many trial shows going on, people who have seen the film are aware of it. Many people in the trade are also surprised that both the stars agreed to so many. In fact, four among the 10 kisses feature before the pre-climax. The chemistry between Akshay and Kareena is excellent and they both have beautiful bodies and look extremely sexy onscreen”

The chemistry between the two will prove if the tonsil boxing translates into a hit. Sajid Nadiadwala, the producer of the film laughed and said, “Why do you want me to tell the whole world if there are so many kisses in the film? Let the audience watch the film and they will know about it.”

Yash Raj has completely rubbished off any rumors of Shah Rukh Khan enacting the protagonist in Dhoom 3. The news spread like “wildfire” when a leading British publication printed the incorrect information. Vice-President to Yash Raj was quick to deny the hearsay in an email, “This story is completely untrue and baseless. We have no idea where this rubbish originated but like all wildfires has spread rapidly.”

Very quickly after that, there were also rumors afloat that Saif Ali Khan had taken over SRK’s role after King Khan had no dates. However, this report too was deemed as nonsense by the Yash Raj camp. As a reminder, in the previous two installments the likes of John Abraham and Hrithik Roshan have taken on the villainous roles in Dhoom 1 and Dhoom 2 respectively.

We will just have to wait and watch to see if Dhoom 3 will have any of the Khans in major roles.

When a hardcore commercial flick gets a standing ovation and a huge round of applause at the end of the show, you know that there is something definitely right that the director has done. In this regard, Kabir Khan can take a bow because he has done exceedingly well in making a film that is not frivolous, has a message and still carries enough commercial ingredients to reach out to masses as well as classes.

His “New York” is a gripping dramatic thriller that has all the trappings to finally end the drought that Bollywood has been facing for an entire year so far.

The film gets on to the point right away. The entire sequence of events involving FBI and the round up of suspects is brilliantly executed that makes you further believe that Kabir Khan knows the job right.

If in his first attempt “Kabul Express” he gave a documentary start to the film by showing actual clippings of 9/11, in case of “New York” too he doesn’t shy away from showing the world what US has become post 9/11.

So what one gets to see is not just America’s mentality after 9/11, but also the way suspects are detained for months and tortured in spite of lack of concrete evidence. However, to the credit of the filmmaker, the brutality being demonstrated is pretty much under control. Even though the desired impact is created for the audience to be a part of the lives of John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Katrina Kaif, nothing goes over the top or something that cannot be swallowed.

With a subject like “New York” where one of the protagonists is labelled as a terrorist and the other is out to prove that he isn’t, the film could have become a grim drama, more so because it deals with real issues. Still, the makers do not allow the film to go beyond the boundaries where it could possibly have been classified as an art or an offbeat film.

Instead, a strict eye is kept on the box office hence making sure there is enough drama, thrills and emotional moments to keep audiences thoroughly engaged in the not-so-lengthy movie.

John can finally do away with his trunks and ignore coming out of the sea and show his body beautiful for next few years. The acting potential in him has finally been tapped by Kabir Khan and he gives his career’s best performance so far in the movie. Watch out for the scenes in the detention centre or the film’s climax – they are surely going to bring a lump in your throat.

Neil has the most complex role of the three as he has to be a part of the proceedings in spite of being on the peripherals. Without revealing much about his part, it can be comfortably said that all the flak that he got post the release of “Aa Dekhen Zara” would be forgotten once audiences see him in this author backed role.

His scenes with Irrfan Khan, who plays an FBI officer and is extremely effective once again, need a special mention. They are extremely well written and enacted.

Katrina too suits the role to a T and after “Namastey London” again gets to play a part where she actually contributes to the film’s plot.

With the kind of subject that “New York” has, it could have easily become a sermonising or a pseudo exercise in motion. Thankfully, Aditya Chopra, who has written the film’s story, doesn’t allow that to happen. He keeps it all under check to ensure that “New York” reaches out to the masses while also ensuring itself quite a few awards when the best of the best are announced at the end of the year.

Peter Andre and Sophie Chaudhary were recently spotted at the IIFA awards in Macau and this set the rumour mills buzzing. However the duo has denied the reports. And here’s what they have to say:

Peter Andre: “I still love Katie one day ago”, even after a very public break down of their marriage. The reality star said he hasn’t been able to watch the new installment of their reality show because it is just too difficult. “Of course I still love Katie – if you get over someone in five weeks then you obviously didn’t love them in the first place, “he told a magazine. He continues: “I must admit I haven’t watched Katie and Peter: the next chapter stateside, since Katie and I spilt, as it’s just too difficult for me. “He also denied rumors he is dating Bollywood actress Sophie Chaudhary. “I know everyone jumped to the conclusion that we were together in some way, but even though I was honored to accompany such a well respected actress to the event, I hardly know Sophie at all, “he added.

Sophie on the other hand was equally non-committal. The actor said that he was a lovely guy and a through gentleman, “We looked fabulous on Red carpet, and he was fascinated by Bollywood and so excited that so many people were calling out to me. We chatted about music, London, Bollywood, his new album. He comes across as a really sweet sincere guy and he was telling me all about his kids. He wanted to hear me sing. Who knows in the future we may collaborate I would love to but please don’t jump to any conclusions. My upbringing and basic system of values doesn’t allow me to date a married man and technically Peter is still married. I am an Indian girl after all and no matter how modern I may come across on screen, I’m a die hard romantic and very clear about what’s right and what’s not.”
