Contrary to rumours Aishwarya Rai has been an image of patience on the sets of Vipul Shah’s film Action Replay. Certain portions of the film require Ash to look old and there have been rumours that the actress refused to get her make-up done by any other person except her regular make-up man.
But the truth is far from it, claimed director Vipul Shah.
“Ash did her old age make up with Paul, a Hollywood make-up artist. When we did it the first time, it didn't work out well. When you are doing age make-up, you can't correct it so it had to be removed fully and done again,” Shah is quoted to have said.
Far from throwing a tantrum, Shah said Ash sat through the second make-up session as well and it eventually took six hours to get her look right.
After the long make-up sitting, the shooting began at 3 am and went on for four hours. A pack-up was called at 7 am.
The movie, starring Akshay Kumar in male lead, is a unique love story that progresses backwards in time. Shah has also rubbished the rumours that the film is inspired from the Oscar-nominated ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’.
